Tetiana Sukach, PhD

Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern

I am Dr. Tetiana Sukach (She/Her), Registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern in the state of Florida (IMT3518). I am a Ukrainian native and I provide therapy in English, Ukrainian, and Russian. As a systemic therapist, I greatly value understanding each of my clients in the context of their lived experiences and the complexity of social relationships. I assist clients in identifying factors and patterns that contribute to experienced issues and I work collaboratively with them to explore paths for change.

I specialize in working with clients who are dealing with body image concerns, disordered eating, and eating disorders. I also work with clients struggling with a variety of other issues such as trauma, grief and loss, low self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. I am passionate about helping couples and families navigate challenging relational dynamics, conflict, trauma, and life transitions.

Throughout my time as a therapist, I have provided therapy to diverse populations and worked in various clinical settings including a local residential treatment center for eating disorders, family development center, shelter for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, outpatient counseling centers, assisted living facility, and inpatient psychiatric hospital unit. In my professional and personal life, I am dedicated to social justice and proactively seek opportunities to deepen my knowledge and clinical expertise in order to advocate for and better serve my community.

I graduated from University of Louisiana at Monroe with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. I then received a Doctorate degree in Couple, Marriage, and Family Therapy from Texas Tech University. While completing my doctoral studies, I pursued additional specialized training that focused on clinical treatment of individuals and families with eating disorders, substance use disorders, and addictive disorders and behaviors.
